Our school uniform

School uniform is an important way of developing a sense of belonging within school, and our students frequently tell us that they are proud to wear their Beckfoot Phoenix uniform.
We love seeing our students looking smart in their school uniform, and want them to wear it everyday, however, we also want our students to fell comfortable at school so that they can focus on their learning and not worry about getting their uniform dirty.
What to wear:
- Navy top, jumper, cardigan, hoodie or fleece
- White polo shirt
- Black/grey trousers or shorts – school trousers, tracksuit bottoms, or jogging bottoms
- Black/grey skirt or shorts
- Blue checked school dress
- Shoes, boots or trainers
Where can I buy uniform?
Our navy uniform can be purchased from MyClothing online, as well as from Whittakers Schoolwear in Keighley. If families prefer, they can buy uniform without the emblem or logo from other outlets like your local supermarket.
Uniform Voucher Policy – School Uniforms
The Beckfoot Trust will provide Financial Support to families of students on free school meals now or that have been on free school meals at any time within the last six years. The eligibility will be based on the students identified on the Government’s Ever6 database.
Uniform vouchers will be valued at £26 and will be redeemable at Whittakers Schoolwear in Keighley. Vouchers will not be valid in any other outlets.
In special circumstances, uniform voucher support may be provided to other parents/carers where exceptional need can be explained (e.g. families moving into the area for the first time from abroad).

Do we have this provision?
School meals
Lunch at Beckfoot Phoenix lasts for 30 minutes between 11:30am and 12:30pm depending on the class.
Pupils can either bring packed lunches or have a hot meal from our excellent catering service, who provide students with healthy and nutritious meals that are prepared on site. To enquire about school meals, please contact the school office.
Pupils eat their lunch together every day whether they have a hot meal provided by the school, or a packed lunch.
Please note that we are a nut free school and do not allow children to bring any nut based products into school or in their packed lunch.

Home to school transport
For children who qualify, transport may be arranged by the Local Authority from your home to school. The Local Authority will often allocate specialist travel services to students with Special Educational Needs, this can include minibuses, taxis or a walking escort.
Please contact the Local Authority directly on 01274 439450 or [email protected] with any of your questions or concerns regarding school transport, or visit their website for more information.
Stay and Play Holiday Provision
Stay and Play is a holiday play scheme where families bring their disabled children and siblings to take part in planned activities and meet other families. This provision runs for 2 days of each holiday week excluding Christmas, and is open to all families of the school as well as any other families who have disabled children.
Each session offers a range of activities including singing, cooking, swimming, soft play, animal visits, massage, bouncy castles and outdoor play. These days are much more relaxed than a school day and fully take into account that this day is still part of the child’s school holidays.
For some children we provide supported placements through the Pupil Premium grant, these are allocated by need and these children are supported by school staff.
Most children however, come with their families. This provides families to meet others in a similar situation to support each other while the children receive the opportunity to play and bond with others who also have a disability.
Stay and Play sessions have been described by parents as a ‘lifeline’ through the holidays/ They provide a safe and supportive space for you and your child, in an environment where you will both be understood. To find out more, please contact the school office.
