Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Friends of Phoenix Special School (FOPSS)

The Friends of Phoenix Special School Group is a group of parents, friends and staff at Beckfoot Phoenix school who meet regularly to support each other, to have a cuppa, and to organise fundraising events for the school.

Since the group was set up in 2010, they have raised thousands of pounds for the children in the school.

"The money that FOPPS raises is vital to the running of the school.  Without the support of FOPSS, the school would not have a soft play room, sensory equipment, lighting and music in the hydrotherapy pool or a school minibus. School budgets are continually decreasing, and without this fantastic group who fundraise for us by organising family discos, fairs and social evenings, we would struggle to provide everything our very special children need or deserve.  I cannot thank them enough for everything that they do and would urge anyone reading this to contact Jason in school to help us to raise even more money for our up and coming projects.

With thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund, we have managed to purchase two interactive SENse Flex projectors.

The SENse Flex captivates attention and encourages active participation, the interactive projection creates a dynamic and responsive environment stimulating curiosity and engagements, particularly for those with sensory processing needs or limited movements.
