At Beckfoot Phoenix School, we are not all the same! Together we are a rich and diverse community where differences are accepted, respected and celebrated.
We have high expectations. At our school, we want everyone to 'Enjoy, Learn and Succeed' beyond what could ever be imagined so that all of our children are well prepared for life outside school.
Our curriculum focuses on the skills our children will need for 'life'. We want our children to be happy and inquisitive so that they are successful, confident and independent learners. Through our curriculum, our pupils are encouraged to have fun and keep healthy. They are expected to make choices, question and express opinions. We encourage pupils to lead their own learning, to take safe risks, try things out and learn from their mistakes. Pupils learn about right and wrong and understand that structures and rules are there to help everyone to live, learn and work together in a society where everyone feels safe.
Our school community extends far beyond the school building and includes parents, families, therapists, medical staff, other professionals, friends and visitors. It is important to us that everyone in our school feels able to express themselves within a climate of trust, tolerance and respect.
